China has extended its visa-free travel program for nationals of 12 countries until December 31, 2025. This visa exemption extension is aimed at promoting tourism and cultural exchanges between China and these countries.
Citizens of Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland can now visit China for short-term trips without visa restrictions.
China has lifted visa requirements for several countries including Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and France at the end of 2023. Travelers from Luxembourg, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Ireland and Switzerland were granted visa exemptions in March 2024.
