- Weekend holidays are cheaper than last year. The average domestic airfare for the Memorial Day weekend is $398 (down 16% year over year) and the average domestic airfare for the July 4th holiday is $477 (down 17% year over year).
- Africa is in the spotlight Searches are up 6% year over year, more than any other region in the world. Asia has jumped to the second most trending region, but searches are still up 5% year over year.
- Head south for cheap flights. Sunny regions such as Mexico (-16% YoY), the Caribbean (-15% YoY), and Central America (-14%).
- Paris is after the money. Searches for U.S. flights to Paris are up 26% from last year, and searches for destination hotels are up 180%.
