Get ready to watch more movies and TV shows featuring your favorite video game series. DreamWorks Animation (the studio behind the Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon series) has partnered with Story Kitchen to bring more gaming IP to the big screen.
According to Deadline, the new deal will give DreamWorks Animation a “first look” option on video game IP that Story Kitchen acquires for future production.
Story Kitchen is currently working on a Vampire Survivors animated show and a live-action Dredge movie. Both of these products are already in production and are therefore not part of this new deal.
As for what DreamWorks will be working on going forward, Deadline says in its report that “further announcements will be made soon.”
In a statement about the partnership, Story Kitchen said, “We are very excited to be working with DreamWorks Animation as our first official film partner since SK's launch in 2022.”
