AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association has partnered with an officiating education company called RefReps to provide a comprehensive sports officiating education curriculum for more than a dozen sports. This opportunity provides a viable way for schools to offer 'Introduction to Sports Refereeing' to students during the curriculum as an elective course.
School administrators are encouraged to sign up and attend RefReps' informational webinars on Monday, May 6th or Thursday, May 23rd.
Currently, more than 500 high schools and colleges in 43 states are actively teaching introductory sports officiating classes using RefReps' highly engaging learning experiences. We believe this curriculum and the dedicated instructors on your staff will reduce the barriers to offering this course to high school students and provide immediate benefits to students, CHSAA member schools, and the athletic community.
These webinars will outline the successes achieved to date with our partner schools and explain how you can consider offering this course as a stand-alone sports officiating class or how the curriculum can fit into existing courses such as Advanced Physical Education, Teams, etc. We will outline how to adapt it to the following. sport, or period of exercise.
RefReps has suggestions for successful fundraising strategies across the country.
