BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — Visit Southern West Virginia's official tourism guide for 2024 has been released.
The nonprofit tourism organization collaborated with a digital company called Digital Relativity to design an easy-to-understand and aesthetically pleasing guidebook to help travelers discover food, activities, lodging, attractions, and more in nine counties. did. Southern West Virginia.
Visit Southern West Virginia distributes its own fulfillment items, including 100,000 copies of the guide and its member guides. In 2023, there were over 400,000 resources contributing to travel, tourist welcome, and other requests as part of a marketing strategy.
In 2022, West Virginia earned $7.3 billion from tourism alone and supported more than 54,000 jobs. In all nine counties, visitors spent more than $1.157 billion on tourism.
“Every spring, it feels like Christmas when we receive the latest tourist guide,” says VSWV Executive Director Lisa Strader. “The amount of work that goes into our annual productions allows us to share it with both potential visitors and those looking for more things to see and do while in our coverage area. Sometimes the amount of pride you get is outweighed.”
