Li Qing recalled how difficult it was when she first embarked on her degree program at TAR UMT.
“Although I had a passion to study IT, I lacked a basic understanding of IT and cybersecurity concepts and felt overwhelmed at first. My teammates and I spent sleepless nights figuring out complex problems and overcoming obstacles on cybersecurity projects.
It was like a never-ending loop of challenges, but I am grateful that my team and I not only successfully completed the project, but also gained a deeper understanding of cybersecurity and its importance. ” she added.
Mr. Li Qing also said that TAR UMT's strong network with the industry helped him gain valuable knowledge and experience.
“In addition to theoretical knowledge, working on practical projects involving industry was very important in my learning process. I was able to put what I learned theoretically into practice in these industry projects and gain valuable It helped me acquire skills.
My favorite subjects are vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. Although it was a complex subject to understand, the ability to understand it gave me great motivation and I found the experience fulfilling. ”
She said, “When I graduated, I was a little worried about finding a job, but thanks to my degree and the experience I gained through a six-month internship, I was able to find a job without any difficulty.
The fundamentals of cybersecurity, networking, and programming are the stepping stones for my work. Because what I learned can be applied to the current company I work for. This eliminates the need for my boss to guide me through my work step by step. ”
