Jessica Sager has been named finance director for the City of Rock Island.
Mr. Sager was hired as Rock Island's finance director in June 2022 and served as interim finance director since October, when the previous director retired. During Mr. Sager's tenure as finance director, the city has consistently passed a balanced budget and maintained stable property taxes, according to the release. Mr. Sager will lead a finance team that has received the City's Annual Report Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for 41 consecutive years.
