CyberCorps®: Scholarship for Service (SFS) trains the next generation of information technology professionals, industrial control systems cybersecurity professionals, and A unique program designed to recruit and train security managers. and tribal governments.
The program offers scholarships through eligible higher education institutions to students enrolled in cybersecurity degree programs or cybersecurity-related fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and aerospace. Students who are qualified for SFS scholarships by their home institution must meet selection criteria based on previous academic performance, potential for degree success, and suitability for government employment. After graduation, scholarship recipients will be required to work as a cybersecurity professional in a federal, state, local, tribal government, or other approved organization for a period equal to the duration of the scholarship. The scholarship includes tuition fees, a stipend, a vocational allowance (travel to job fairs), and support for up to three years. To date, he has ensured that more than 5,000 students have received scholarships and committed to work in government agencies across the country.
The program is administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in collaboration with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in accordance with the Cybersecurity Modernization Act of 2014.
