Addison Stockford hit a home run into the left-field seats, giving Hemlock an 8-7 softball victory over Sheppard and a two-run walk-off victory.
Shepard returned the favor in the second game, scoring in the bottom of the seventh inning to win 3-2 and earn a non-conference split.
In the first game, Stockford, Lacey Harry, Carly Noyes, and Lillian Martinez each had two hits, and Stockford scored four runs. Noyce also earned the win with three relief innings.
In the second game, Maddie Hall drove in two runs for the Hemlocks with a home run over the center field fence. Noyes started and pitched six innings, allowing three hits and no runs, with six strikeouts.

Frankenmuth 13, Croswell Lexington 0: Chloe Compau earned the win by striking out 10 in five innings and allowing just one hit. Peyton Schaffsnitz and Miranda Polley each had two hits for the Eagles, and Compau hit a three-run home run. Izzy Bernthal won the second game, and Kendall Thompson led the offense with two hits and four RBIs. Bly Barker, Sienna Bosco and Kennedy Crandall each had two hits.
Midland High School 4-13, Davison 0-0: Grace Schroup pitched a no-hitter in the opening game, recording 16 strikeouts. Hayden Purvis led the Midland offense with three hits, and Maggie Frazee hit a two-run home run. Schroup hit two runs and Morgan Stewart added two hits. Schlupp also won the nightcap with 12 strikeouts. For Midland, Morgan Stewart, Haylen Worsley, Kylie Cassiday, Addie Edwards and Purvis each had two hits, and Caroline Williams and Schroup hit home runs.

Midland High School 7-0, Davison 2-2: The Chemix won Game 1 as Liam Hines held Davison to five hits and two runs in six innings, while Brady Vannest and Kayden Nieto each had two hits. In the second game, Cade Sanborn had two hits for Midland, but the offense struggled to score. Davison scored two runs in the 10th inning to seal the victory, spoiling good pitching by Eli Kleber and Vannest, who each pitched five innings in the loss.
Heritage 17-15, Saginaw United 0-0: Brady Boulter pitched four innings for Heritage in the season opener, striking out nine and allowing one hit. Drew Shafer and Hudsen Hammond each scored two runs. In the second game, Brody Vannine won the game with three no-hitter innings and three strikeouts. Boulter led the offense with three hits, three RBIs, and three runs scored, and Jace Sullivan added two hits.
Caro 6-4, Unionville Sebewijn 0-5: Caro sophomore Ramon Zamora Jr. earned the win in the opener, allowing four hits and 10 strikeouts in five innings. Valin Buniak had two doubles and two RBIs, and Zamora Jr. added two hits and one RBI. Caro led 4-0 in the second game, and the Americans scored five points in the third. For the Tigers, Mason Allard and Xander Greiss each had two hits.

Valley Lutheran 1, Millington 0: Kendra Peterson made 24 saves to lead Millington, which was tied 0-0 at halftime against Valley Lutheran.

Midland Dow 4, Traverse City Central 4: Dow won three singles matches in the non-conference draw, with Dalton DeBoer, Nishi Narayan and Elisa Kosthu all earning singles victories. Lauren Yao and Alexi Leity led Dow to victory in No. 3 doubles.
