The titles being given away at next month's Free Comic Book Day include three comics based on video games.
Starting May 4, 2024, a total of 48 comics will be available for free at participating comic bookstores worldwide. A list of stores can be found on the campaign's website.
These include Street Fighter vs. Final Fight issue 1, Far Cry: Cul the Hard issue 1, and Pokémon Adventures: Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire special (which also includes the story of Splatoon 3). ) is included.
Pokemon comics are gold-level books and will be available at all participating comic book stores.
On the other hand, “Street Fighter vs. Final Fight” and “Far Cry” are silver tier books, so their availability will vary depending on the store.
Each store has its own system when it comes to events, but the general rule of thumb is that customers can visit a participating store and pick up a free comic.
Typically, comics are not available digitally, but since the whole point of the event is to encourage people to visit their local comic bookstore, some publishers have decided to release the comics as digital downloads a few days or weeks later. You may also choose.
