Fallout has become one of the star series of 2024. Bethesda's film adaptation of the original video game was a huge success with both critics and viewers, thanks to the first season of a series that promises to last for years. No wonder. Both the story, protagonist, and production design are as great as the video games they're based on.
However, this isn't just an adaptation of the Fallout game; A new story set in the same video game world. There are occasional cameos and Easter eggs, but viewers shouldn't expect to see any of the game's protagonists or antagonists, at least for now. Series co-creator Graham Wagner explained why they made such a decision, especially for the deathclaws, which are very common enemies.
Fallout season 2 coming soon
Deathclaws are very common monsters in Fallout, as they are essentially genetically modified creatures developed by the American military to replace humans during close combat search and destroy missions. Essentially, There is no Fallout without deathclaws., because they are the colonizers of much of the post-atomic United States. Wagner explains their absence as follows:
“I wanted to add deathclaws, but I didn't want to just throw them away.. This is such a monumental piece of the Fallout universe that I wanted to save it until season 2 so I could use it properly, as well as add to the extensive worldbuilding that already had to be done in season 1. I thought. So we're very excited to announce that in Season 2, they'll be appearing as one of the iconic elements of the game. ”
If you enjoyed Season 1, get ready because there's a lot more to come in Season 2. Once the world presented in the first episode is built; It's time for writers to enjoy their creations.
