The upcoming Apple TV+ series “Government Cheese” has added four new additions to its core cast. variety I have been studying exclusively.
Jahi Winston (“We Have a Ghost,” “Charm City Kings”), Evan Alexander Ellison (“She Come to Me,” “Devil in Ohio”), Jeremy Bob (The Knick, Russian Doll) and Rui Kansemi (Killers of the Flower Moon, Billions) are all in the cast. They will star alongside previously announced series lead David Oyelowo, as well as cast members Simone Missick, Bokeem Woodbine, Sunita Mani and Adam Beach.
Based on Paul Hunter's short film of the same name, “Government Cheese” follows Hampton, a man recently released from prison who struggles to put his criminal past behind him and find his family again. Painting Chambers (Oyelowo). We are dealing with moments of divine intervention that seem to occur more and more often. ”
Winston is repped by Austin Tyerman of WME and Jackoway. Mr. Ellison is represented by Amplified, Inc., a management and talent agency, Pacific Artists Management. Bob is represented by Gersh and Suskin/Karshan management. Cansemi is repped by Gersh and Red Letter Entertainment.
Hunter and Ayesha Kerr serve as writers, executive producers and co-showrunners on “Government Cheese.” Hunter will also direct. Oyelowo will serve as executive producer under the Yoruba Saxon banner. Charles D. King and Ahmadu Sek will executive produce the series for MACRO Television Studios, along with Jelani Johnson and Marta Fernandez. Ali Brown will serve as co-executive producer alongside Hunter through Ventureland. Apple Studios and MACRO will act as a joint studio.
