Plus-size travel influencer Jaelyn Cheney has slammed weight loss drug Ozempic, partnering with a law firm to encourage people to sue the company.
Cheney slammed drugs in a sponsored post on TikTok, accusing them of being fueled by “marketing campaigns and celebrity endorsements.”
“Originally developed to manage diabetes, it has since become the go-to solution for deliberate weight loss,” she said, adding that anyone who suffered side effects will receive financial compensation. He argued that he might have a right.
The influencer said she is partnering with Coalition Law to encourage people to sue Ozempic and similar companies.
Her comments come months after Cheney sparked a backlash by demanding that airlines give free seats on planes to obese travelers, suggesting that not being able to sit in a seat is “discrimination.” Ta.
“We need to talk about Ozempic,” Cheney began her campaign against weight loss drugs to her 135,000 followers.
After criticizing the “celebrity endorsements” of the drug, including Oprah Winfrey, she asked her followers: “Have you had any negative effects from taking Ozempic?”
“If you or a loved one experiences serious side effects, such as severe vomiting, after taking Ozempic, you may be entitled to financial compensation,” she said.
“There are currently hundreds of lawsuits against brands like Ozempic.”
She said she had “worked with” Allied Law to encourage others to participate in such cases, noting that the law firm specializes in “people affected by harmful drugs.” It pointed out.

Cheney's sponsored post comes after she quickly rose to fame as a “plus-size travel influencer.”
Most notably, she gathered thousands of signatures on a petition last year demanding that airlines offer free extra seats to obese passengers.
She wanted the Federal Aviation Administration to “protect” plus-size travelers and make bus flying “comfortable and accessible for everyone.”
Cheney also wants airlines to require refunds for overweight passengers who are forced to purchase additional seats to match their size when booking.
“As plus-size travelers, my partner and I have unfortunately experienced discrimination and discomfort while flying,” she wrote in the petition.

Cheney acknowledged that ticket prices will have to rise if he wants his way, and acknowledged that non-fat passengers may face higher costs to compensate for the improvements.
