Podcaster Chris Wallace believes Newcastle are good enough to finish well enough to qualify for next season's European competition even if they draw with Tottenham on Saturday.
Eddie Howe's side currently sit eighth in the Premier League, 12 points behind fourth-placed Spurs, but just two points behind sixth-placed Manchester United.
“I think it's going to be a close game. I think Tottenham are a good enough team to get something from it,” Wallace told BBC Radio Newcastle's Total Sport: Newcastle United podcast.
“I would go for a draw. Spurs are not in their best form so far but given the injury crisis a draw would be good.
“I think it will take until the final game, but European soccer will probably be stable at that point. I don't know which tournament it will be, but I think it will be decided in the end.''
“I don't think we've ever surpassed Manchester United in the Premier League and that worries me.”
Rahul Kohli said:: “I’m going to say 2-1 against Newcastle, we’re in good form and Tottenham are ahead of Tottenham at this stage of the season.
“With our run-in, Tottenham's run-in and Manchester United's run-in, I think we can finish fifth. If we don't lose any more players, that's the problem.”
Comedian Anse Young added“I'm going to come in sixth place. You'd take any European tournament, right?”
