The Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC), the French Space Agency and the Center National de la Recherche Spatial (CNES) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen international cooperation and cybersecurity in the global space sector. CNES is crucial in shaping French space policy, working together to invent future space systems, advance technology and maintain France's autonomous access to space.
This partnership will enable a two-way exchange of cyber and physical threat intelligence, greatly benefiting the space sector. This MoU will foster cooperation on the development and implementation of cybersecurity requirements, including the creation of guidelines and standards.
Space ISAC Executive Director Erin Miller expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting joint efforts to strengthen the industry against emerging threats. The union aims to bring together cybersecurity expertise to enhance information sharing and raise international space awareness.
The two agencies look forward to further joint projects and are poised to strengthen global space security and strengthen a strong and secure space framework through research initiatives and coordinated response strategies.
