The American Motorcyclist Association has added Grassroots Manager Bob Davis and Legislative Affairs Coordinator Jeremy Robinson to its Office of Government Relations.
Pickerington, Ohio (April 10, 2024) – Strengthening its mission to promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling, the American Motorcyclist Association has announced the signing of Grassroots Manager Bob Davis and Legislative Affairs Coordinator Bob Davis. “Bob and Jeremy are tremendous additions to our government relations team,” said Nick Harris, director of government relations. “Both men bring extensive knowledge and experience in the motorcycle field and will undoubtedly strengthen our efforts to protect our rights as riders.”
After learning how to ride a bike in 2014, Davis quickly fell in love with the sport and developed a desire to immerse himself in the bike community.
“I got a late start in motorcycling and took a beginner class in 2014, and it’s no exaggeration to say that that class completely changed my life,” Davis said. “I immediately knew I wanted to get more involved in the motorcycle community. Luckily, I already lived near the AMA, the largest motorcycle organization in the world. Although it took me a few years to get my foot in the door, , once I started, I quickly realized that this was, and still is, the right place for me.”
Davis, a Baltimore, Ohio native and Kent State University graduate, previously served as Sanctions Activities Coordinator and Programs and Volunteers Specialist in the AMA's Racing Division and Marketing & Communications Division, and brings his AMA experience to his new role. . In addition to his work with the AMA, Davis is also a motorcycle safety instructor.
In moving to the Office of Government Relations, Mr. Davis emphasized his desire to grow in the role and further support the AMA's overall legislative mission.
“My first approach to this new role is to learn as much as I can,” Davis said. “This team has a wealth of experience and knowledge. My goal is to be a valuable resource to the AMA and each member.”
Robinson has an extensive equestrian and legislative background that he will use as the AMA's Legislative Affairs Coordinator.
“I look forward to bringing my knowledge, connections and passion for motorcycles to our already impressive government communications team,” Robinson said. “As we work to expand our footprint across Capitol Hill and the state Capitol, we will I look forward to building on our success.” It's a country. ”
A native of Brockport, New York, Robinson began competing on motorcycles at an early age. Born into a family of motorcyclists, Robinson has been involved with dirt bikes his entire life. Robinson's family also owned a motorcycle dealership called Robinson Cycle Sales in his hometown.
Robinson has held various roles in the legislative field during his professional career. After graduating from American University with a bachelor's degree in international relations, Robinson interned at the Missile Defense Defense Alliance and worked full-time at Connect, where he gained connections and relationships with policymakers in Washington, D.C. I built it.
Combining his lifelong love of motorcycles with his background in the Legislature, Robinson looks forward to working closely with the AMA membership base to protect their rights as motorcyclists.
“As a kid, I always wanted to be around motorcycles, and now I have the opportunity to represent the community that welcomed me and gave me so many great memories,” Robinson said.
