SHREVEPORT, LA – Don't you just love it when people here say bad things about where they live? It's even worse when it comes from outsiders.
It happened a few years ago when a Utah reporter came to Shreveport to watch the BYU team play in the Independence Bowl. His comments were quite harsh. He claimed that every business had bars on its windows and even the local jail appeared to be ransacked. ”
Now I'm getting some scorn from a travel blogger who has visited all 50 states. And this guy's comments aren't just about Shreveport. He blames the entire state of Louisiana.
Who is this blogger?
The man's name is Lee Abamonte. He is a 45-year-old writer who travels all over the United States and writes about the places he visits. He has reviewed golf courses all over the country. He also researched national parks across the country.
He previously worked in finance in New York City. He changed his life's focus when several colleagues died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He also lived in California and Connecticut. He has never lived in the South. However, he has visited every state at least three times.
He is currently publishing rankings for all 50 states. He ranks states based on his love of sports, outdoor activities, and his personal preferences.

What bad things did bloggers say about Louisiana?
Abbamonte had good things to say about New Orleans. He calls it a vibrant city.but he added

But he had good things to say about Louisiana. He said if the rankings were based on food, the Bayou State would have ranked near the top of the list.
he says.
“If it were based on food, Louisiana would be in my top 10, if not top 5, because I love Cajun food.
