Chicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada left Tuesday's game early after falling while trying to reach first base on a ground ball at Progressive Field.
Moncada grounded out three times in the second inning of his team's 7-5 win over the Cleveland Guardians. As he approached first base, he suddenly collapsed and hit the dirt hard. When called out to him, he immediately began rolling over, clearly in severe pain.
Moncada was helped off the field, but the White Sox quickly ruled him out due to a strained left adductor muscle. The extent of his injuries is unknown but appears to be routine.
