PITTSBURGH — In a few months, Pitt Panthers fans and the rest of the college football world will be able to play their favorite sport from the comfort of their homes.
EA Sports teased the release of College Football 25 earlier this year, promising a May release and an official release in late summer. The release date that Pitt fans and many others have been waiting for is finally here. The game will be available for purchase on July 19th. According to a report by Dov Klieman of Bro Bible.
This game was a long time coming for college football fans. The final edition of EA's NCAA football video game series was released in the summer of his 2013, and it returns 11 years later with a new name. It was announced in 2021 that a new game was being created, and there have been few updates since then.
247Sports' Brandon Marcello reported last month that the new game will be built on the same engine as EA Sports' Madden series. However, there are differences in the settings that make college football unique, such as the gameplay, playbooks, mascots, bands, and other stadium traditions. “Dynasty” and “Road to Glory” modes will also return.
Fans can also expect an even more personal touch for players, as name, image, and likeness rules have been relaxed since the last version of the game was released. It's also possible that the name on the jersey will return along with other tweaks to make it more personal. The game was initially canceled due to lawsuits from former players who appeared in the game but were unable to receive a portion of the profits. From now on, all players who choose to participate in the game will be compensated with $600 each and a free copy of the game.
