There's a running gag among air commuters to wear all their clothes at once instead of buying a larger suitcase and paying checked baggage fees. If you're worried about the weight of your bag, you can always do a trick like this guy did. Alternatively, a gag can be adopted as a viable solution. The latter is what his TikToker named Mattiegascar (@mattymendy) did while traveling.
Matty documented her travel “hack” on a viral TikTok, which has garnered more than 188,000 views as of Saturday. While many found his enthusiasm for the joke funny, others said he tried the joke himself but could not in good conscience recommend it.
The text overlay on Matty's video reads “GRWM.” [get ready with me] For flights with only one carry-on bag. ” He placed his recording device on the airport floor and began showing off the layers of clothing he wore on the plane.
He wears multiple pairs of pants, multiple T-shirts, and a buttoned short-sleeved flannel over top. He wore a baseball cap, rolled one carry-on suitcase through the airport, and put his shoes in the back pocket of his clothes.
This tactic appears to be a travel “hack” he implemented to ensure he could bring as much clothing as possible while only bringing one piece of luggage on the plane.

For domestic flights, many airlines sell “basic economy” tickets, which are often non-refundable (within 24 hours and unless there are extenuating circumstances such as significant delays or cancellations) and There are certain conditions.
As is often the case with basic economy seats, passengers are provided with the lowest possible cost of airfare travel. However, you may only bring one personal item, such as a backpack.
Small carry-on bags on Basic Economy tickets typically have an additional charge, just like checked baggage. Some airlines, like Frontier, are even said to have strict enforcement measures in place depending on the size of “personal items” that are allowed on board the plane. One user went so far as to certify that the bag he brought on board clearly complied with the airline's personal item policy, and accused the company's agent of receiving a commission from every passenger who charges a personal item fee. Some people criticized him.
Other passengers share their 'tricks' for saving money when traveling with hand luggage and avoiding the high cost of bags and luggage. For example, one of my girlfriends, a Spirit Airlines customer, decided to use a $35 package service to have items shipped to her home instead of putting cash in her checked baggage.
One viewer was impressed with Matti's ability to pull off all the clothes in the first place, writing, “How did you manage to wear all those jeans?”
Another thought this method would cause a lot of logistical problems, commenting, “Going to the bathroom is insane.”
Others said that their own attempts and implementation of this hack while traveling were not very successful.
“I did this once and almost passed out,” they wrote.
I also thought that if Matty was traveling with so many jeans, he must have been out for a long time.
“My question is how long will it take to need 4 pairs of jeans lol” they asked.
