“Who wouldn't want to toast history with a pint?” asks Darley Newman, host of the public television series “Darley's Journey.”
The show traveled to Central Jersey last summer to film three episodes called “Traveling with Darlie: A Revolutionary Road Trip,” which featured historic sites and restaurants in Somerset County.
The show will air on March 19 at 5 p.m. at Flounder Brewing, a restored Revolutionary-era Dutch barn in Hillsboro and one of the businesses featured on the show, with an episode featuring Somerset County We answer that question and many more in this special preview of .

Newman was also in attendance, and after the screening, the event featured women from the Somerset County episode, including County Governor Colleen Marr, historian Iris de Rode, and Downtown Somerville Alliance Director Natalie Pineiro. A panel discussion will be held.

The episode “Traveling with Darley: Revolutionary Road Trip Part III” begins in Somerville, where Newman meets De Rhode at the Wallace House, where George Washington wintered during the Revolutionary War. Somerville's annual event of art, music, literature, and reenactments.
Newman leaves the Green to tour downtown with Natalie Pineiro. They stop at family-owned Boulevard Seafood for lunch. Newman reunites with de Lorde across the Green River at Verve, a French restaurant, and after toasting history, she visits Flounder Brewing. This episode also includes a visit to a revolutionary site in Middlesex County.
The Somerset County episode will premiere on March 20th at 8:30pm and April 7th at 12:30pm on New Jersey PBS.
