MEDFORD, Mass. (April 3, 2024) – Four Tufts University swimmers have been selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) to the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming and Diving Team. I have earned the right to participate. This award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their overall performance in the pool and in the classroom.
Honorable Jumbo is a graduate student. peter laberge and juniors Emmett Adams, charlie duffy and Eric Lundgren. Mr. LaBarge earned this recognition for his second year in a row.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution and be a significant contributor to the team. The nomination limit is set at four per team. Eligible individuals must compete in four competitions or place in the top eight at a conference competition.
Adams (psychology/clinical major), Duffy (ergonomics), Lundgren (environmental engineering) and LaBarge (biology) assisted the head coach. adam hoyt's Tufts team placed ninth at the NCAA Division III Championships in March and was runner-up in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes individual swimming and diving honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® winners advance to CSC Academic All-America® voting. Academic All-America® first, second and third team winners will be announced on April 24th.
