The first major Activision-Blizzard game is coming to the cloud gaming service for Xbox, PC, Android, and other platforms.
Back in October 2023, Microsoft acquired game studio Activision-Blizzard with the aim of expanding Xbox's exclusive game library. And now, “Diablo IV” is his first major Activision-Blizzard game to come to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft's premium cloud gaming subscription service.
Want to play Diablo IV online? First, you'll need to sign up for Xbox Game Pass using your Microsoft account, starting at $9.99 per month. Next, you'll need to sign in to your Xbox Series X/S or download the Xbox app to your compatible Windows laptop. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass can be played on select Android or iOS mobile devices via the app.
There is no free trial for this service, but you can access a 14-day trial for just $1. You can then cancel or continue playing at the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate price of $16.99 per month.
Xbox Game Pass lets you play Starfield, Death Loop, MLB The Show '24, Halo Infinite, Forza Motorsport, A Plague Tale: Requiem, and more. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, on the other hand, comes with online multiplayer for an immersive and cooperative gaming experience. Think of this service like Netflix, but for Xbox games.
Diablo IV, released in June 2023, is a dynamic isometric action RPG (ARPG) in which players create and customize their own characters from the playable classes of Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, or Sorcerer. They then use their combat and strategy skills to complete quests in a high fantasy world. The game is currently in its third season, with season four starting on Saturday, May 14th.
Microsoft's addition of “Diablo IV” to Xbox Game Pass means that other Activision-Blizzard games such as “Overwatch,” “Call of Duty,” and “Starcraft” may be added to the gaming service in the future. It means something.
Diablo IV is now available for Xbox Game Pass. Until then, check out the launch trailer below.
