2025 safety Phoenix Felton is the latest Georgia player to receive an offer from Georgia Tech.
Felton has great size at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds. Felton had a great 2023 season playing at Eagles Landing Christian in McDonough, Georgia. He is used as a player by the Eagles.
Felton earned reps at receiver and in the backfield offense. He's one of the players you always want to keep on the field. On the ground, he ran for 247 yards and two touchdowns. As a receiver, he had 31 catches for 489 yards and eight touchdowns. He also returned punts and kickoffs. In total, he recorded 1,143 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns.
His best game offensively was against Callaway, where he had almost as many catches as touchdowns. Felton finished the game with four catches for 155 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 39 yards. These great skills translate to the other side of the ball offensively and are part of what makes him special.
Felton is playing as a safety at the next level and is most impressive defensively. Felton recorded 90 tackles, five interceptions, one fumble recovery and one sack. He played his best soccer until the end. He recorded 10 or more tackles in a single game in four games in 2023, including three of his last five games. He also had an interception in his last three games.
He's good at handling the ball defensively. Felton has a talent for swinging loose balls and making big plays. When it comes to tackling, Felton loves coming up and making big hits and forcing fumbles and creating turnovers.
Recruiting-wise, Felton currently has 13 offers from Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Charlotte, Georgia State, Marshall, Troy, UAB, Indiana, Georgia Southern, Delaware and Navy. Felton still has trips to the Carolina coast, southern Georgia, Delaware and Charlotte left in the spring.
Felton received the offer from the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday and spoke about what receiving the offer means to him.

Felton continues to develop his relationship with defensive backs coach Corey Peoples and is scheduled to participate in Georgia Tech's Junior Elite Day this weekend.
