The planned 180,000-square-foot, two-story facility will include the following features:
- A basketball court that can be used for other purposes such as volleyball or pickleball.
- Hybrid turf field for sports such as indoor soccer, box lacrosse, indoor soccer, etc.
- Birthday party and community room
- Family entertainment may include bowling, laser tag, arcade games, miniature golf, restaurants and bars
“We are proud to be a leader in public-private partnerships that have benefited our residents,” said Richard Derrick, Henderson City Manager and CEO. “We look forward to seeing the success of this indoor sports complex, as we have seen with America First Center and Leeds Family Forum.”
“We look forward to partnering with the City of Henderson to realize their innovative vision for a state-of-the-art sports complex,” said Kemper Sports Senior Vice President Steve Goris. “This complex will be a huge regional asset for local residents and a destination for youth sports clubs.”
