49ers sign Jennings to contract extension through 2025, NBC Sports Bay Area
SANTA CLARA — Wide receiver Jauan Jennings is returning to the 49ers and will remain with the team for at least the next two seasons.
Jennings signed a new contract with the 49ers on Wednesday, keeping him with the team through the 2025 NFL season.
The 49ers initially tried to sign Jennings as a restricted free agent in the offseason on a one-year, $4.89 million contract.
ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, citing agents Drew Rosenhaus and Jason Rosenhaus, reported that Jennings' new contract would be worth up to $15.4 million over the next two seasons, with $10.5 million of that guaranteed.

Jennings did not take part in the 49ers' first week of team activities. He took part in a practice session this week.
Jennings, entering his fourth year in the NFL, has totaled 78 receptions for 963 yards and seven touchdowns over the past three seasons.
Last season, the soon-to-be 27-year-old had 19 catches for 265 yards and one touchdown.
Jennings has been a valuable asset to the 49ers offense, especially on third downs: Of his 78 career catches, 40 have been for third downs, with 32 of those being good enough for a first down.
With the Jennings deal in place, the 49ers still have one major task ahead of them this offseason: signing fellow wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to a contract extension.
