Luckily for flyers, it's almost May.
Flight attendant Bernice Padilla, 29, told SWNS, “May and September are the best months to travel because they're around the peak of summer here in the United States.''
“It’s less crowded, the prices are more affordable, and the weather is still nice,” she continued. She says, “Each country has a unique shoulder season, so it's best to do your research before booking.”
Padilla, who visited 44 countries over six years as a flight attendant, shares her travel industry tips, from booking flights to exploring countries.
The Dallas-based flight attendant, who boasts 144,300 followers on TikTok, said that while Europe is a popular destination for American travelers, she prefers to book vacations in “overlooked” destinations. He said it was the best.
“Everyone loves going to London, Rome, Paris and Barcelona,” she explained. “For example, I'm going to Argentina in a few weeks. I think it would be a good idea to book a place that is not very popular with tourists.”
She added: [if] People still want to visit Europe, but there are many places that are less popular, such as Albania and coastal countries. ”
Padilla also revealed that he wanted to book the earliest possible flight to avoid delays.
“If there's any delay, it's going to start like dominoes. Let's say there's a delay in California because of the weather, and my flight here won't be able to take off until that flight takes off.” she reasoned. “Everything will come down gradually, but if you get on the plane early, the plane will arrive the night before.”
Padilla also recommends traveling with a carry-on, especially in the summer.
If this is not possible, use compressed packing cubes.
“I still have an overstuffing problem, but I try to avoid overstuffing as much as possible,” she confessed. “I always travel with compression cubes, so I can fit more stuff in my suitcase.”
Her travel essentials include a reusable water bottle, a sweater or blanket, a pen to fill out any forms you might need upon arrival, noise-cancelling headphones, and a portable charger.
