McClure's model accurately predicted that Scottie Scheffler would finish at the top of the leaderboard at the 2024 Masters, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and The Players Championship this season. The model also predicted Jon Rahm to win the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and American Express. Rahm entered the third round two strokes off the lead, but the model still predicted him to be the winner. This is the model's second consecutive victory at the Masters, and Schaeffler's 2022 victory is also confirmed.

Top predictions for the 2024 PGA Championship
One of the big surprises the model is calling for for the 2024 PGA Championship is that three-time PGA Champion and one of the favorites, Brooks Koepka, stumbles and doesn't even finish in the top 10. . Koepka has five major championship wins on his resume. and a reputation for elevating the level of play at big events. However, he has had poor starts in the past two majors, finishing 64th at last year's British Open Championship and 45th at the Masters. He has failed to shoot par in each of his last seven rounds at a major tournament.
After winning three tournaments in 2023, including last year's PGA Championship, 2024 has been a rough ride for Koepka. He has never finished in the top five, let alone won, and has tripled the number of non-competition finishes in his six starts combined. He ranks in the top 25 (3) as well as in the top 10 (1). He played at Valhalla in the 2014 PGA Championship and finished tied for 15th, but that position was only the eighth of his 11 career PGA Championship appearances. Another surprise is that Collin Morikawa, who has a long shot record of 22 wins and 1 loss, will make a strong run towards winning the title. He is a target for those looking for a big salary. The 27-year-old has already won six times on the PGA Tour, winning the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 British Open Championship, and is a two-time major champion.
Morikawa is widely regarded as one of the best ball strikers in the world, and the former world No. 2 returned to No. 13 in the Official World Golf Rankings after finishing third at the Masters and ninth at the RBC Heritage. He sits 11th in the FedEx Cup standings, and his ability to find the fairway has been crucial to his success on tour this season. Morikawa ranks fourth in driving accuracy (78.53%) this season.
