When the Dead Space remake was first released, I found myself being very skeptical. As someone who doesn't trust remakes easily, I fully expected to be disappointed. But once I sat down and finished playing the game, I found myself genuinely impressed. It was also at this time that I realized that I needed to remake more games. But with so many games out there, it's almost impossible to know which one to choose.
As someone who has gotten into so many video games over the years, I decided it was time to sit down and think about it. After brainstorming for a while, here's a list of 10 games I'd like to see remade. Let's see how much you agree with me.
1. Red Dead Redemption
My list starts with the one choice we all knew was coming. We all know that Red Dead Redemption continues to be the biggest benchmark for what video games can be. RDR2 came along and added some more spice to the formula, but the OG game never got the modern attention it deserved. So getting the Red Dead Redemption remake on RAGE Engine will be a fun experience.
In addition to all the standard graphical improvements, Red Dead Redemption benefits greatly from the engine's lighting and vegetation systems that bring the game to life and make the world lively and vibrant. I hope Rockstar Games gives this idea a try after GTA 6's development is complete. For all these reasons and more, I list the original Red Dead as one of his favorite games to be remade.
2. No one lives forever
Talk of a re-release of No One Lives Forever is infamous. Nightdive Studios has decided to remaster and re-release this cult classic spy comedy by Monolith Studios. Unfortunately, that game is stuck in development hell as three of his companies own the rights. And since no one wants to move, it stays there.
If Nightdive Studios can overcome this hurdle, I'd love to see them make a remake.of system shock remake A faithful modernization of the impactful video game while retaining the essence of the original. A similar job where we could see Kate Archer in all her glory would be great. This game certainly could use a remake, as the gameplay hasn't aged very well.
Some changes I feel the game needs include tweaking the gameplay to bring it into modern times. Vibrant and vibrant level structure. The first game had some bland environments, so it needs a bit more polish and tighter levels packed with more detail. The remake will likely use better enemy AI from games like No One Lives Forever. There's a limit, so I hope this series comes back before I get bored.
3. Resident Evil Code: Veronica
Code Veronica is a title that all Capcom and Resident Evil fans agree should be re-released. Or, even better, a remake in the vein of Resident Evil 2. The remake could do away with tank controls and incorporate over-the-shoulder third-person gameplay while maintaining the story beats and atmosphere.
Let's try Capcom too Redo or rewrite specific scenesThey are added to games like Resident Evil 4 to improve storytelling. After all, this game canonically takes place between Resident Evil 2 and 3, with subtle rewrites and remakes of both of his games.
The Japanese company may be working on the next installment in the mainline Resident Evil series, but we're sure it's aware of fan demand and may revisit this game at the appropriate time. not. If done correctly, Veronica will make him one of the best Resident Evil games of all time.
4. Dino Crisis
This is another classic Capcom survival game that never saw the light of day. Like Resident Evil, Dino Crisis is a survival horror game. You explore a remote island, where resources are scarce and death looms around every corner.
Ever since I played Resident Evil 2 Remake, I've felt that Dino Crisis could also benefit from such a remake.of third person gameplay It will make it easier for gamers to participate and will help revitalize series such as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 7.
Furthermore, in the next generation, RE engine Capcom, which is already in development, can showcase its capabilities through this game and receive the remake treatment from its vast library to become another video game. You can also take inspiration from the Monster Hunter games to create dinosaurs and add substantial boss fights where you can take out limbs.
5. Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005)
If you grew up between 2003 and 2006, you probably enjoyed Need for Speed: Most Wanted. One of the popular arcade racing games of its generation, in this game you play against the blacklist system and outsmart and defeat prominent racers in street races. There was something like a reboot in 2012, but there was never a remake of the first game. Some of the reasons stem from the car or music license itself.
Many car companies aren't tied to street racing, making it difficult for games like Need for Speed to succeed. However, with the moderate success of NFS Unbound, the developer has created several remakes of the first video game with a similar feel, featuring a similar line-up of cars, while keeping the main storyline. You can try it.
Furthermore, they stylistic graphic approach It's a celebration of the game's street racing culture. I hope this remake becomes a reality because I just want to ride on asphalt again.
6. Suffering
The Suffering is one of those cult classic horror games you may not know about. Created by Surreal Software, Suffering puts you in the shoes of a death row inmate. torque, was charged with murdering his ex-wife and two children. While Torque is serving time in prison, monsters attack and all hell breaks loose. What is the solution to this? Of course, shoot and run..
“The Suffering” is well known for being extremely violent and grotesque. Warner Bros. currently owns the rights to the video game and is available for hire. netherrealm studio To remake this beautiful game.
Gameplay should be inspired by games such as: 2016 DOOM or Wolfenstein: The New Order, players can play in first or third person. As strange as it may sound, I'm hoping this remake includes even more gore than before. Yes, please fight!
If you're wondering why I want a remake of the X-COM UFO Defense game, keep reading. I play XCOM 2 and XCOM: Chimera Squad a lot. I've played both games before, but I can't resist trying out the older titles in the popular Frixaxis turn-based tactics series. Unfortunately, these games are outdated and don't have the same punch as XCOM 2.
I think UFO Defense should be an impressive remake, and could be made like XCOM 2. Grid-based positioning system Popularized by Enemy Unkown. Since this game is from an older era, you should consider the ideas introduced in The Bureau. it is, Base management system From the first game. As Rogue Lite has grown in popularity over the years, it also features a game mode where every situation is randomized for a fresh playthrough.
You could play OpenXCOM and call it a day, but I'd like to completely remake this game and introduce this series to even more gamers.
8. Chrono Trigger
Everyone who's ever played a JRPG loves Chrono Trigger. Chrono Trigger quickly became one of the best video games of all time. Part of the credit goes to the team-up of Hironobu Sakaguchi, designer Yuji Hori, and Dragon Ball's Akira Toriyama.
While the original experience is simple and concise, making it easy to pick up and enjoy, I think this game needs a remake in the vein of Final Fantasy. Maybe we can recreate the visuals to match the latest Dragon Quest game.It helps the game maintain its status The true identity of Akira Toriyama While simplifying the gameplay for a modern audience.
Alternatively, you can also: Try sprite work Create a game inspired by Octopath Traveler by combining sprites and 3D backgrounds. Ultimately, if this video game is remade, many new generations of children will appreciate the epic adventure that tugs at the heartstrings.
9. Kane's Legacy
Crystal Dynamics' Legacy of Kain series had a huge following during its heyday. The game follows a dystopian world and memorable characters. Sadly, it never saw the light of day after the company shifted its focus to Lara Croft and her Tomb Raid antics. However, there is a steady interest in this series and I have been hoping for a remake for a long time.
If Crystal Dynamics picks up Legacy of Kain, it should be in third person. hack and slash video game. This can be accomplished by rewriting or redoing sections of the game to fit the narrative or story. improve the basics. Also, the game should eliminate tank controls to suit modern gamers.
I hope Crystal Dynamics remakes this video game, as the developer expressed interest in working on this series a few years ago. Probably after Amazon's new Tomb Raider game is finished. Either way, if Legacy of Kain is remade, you'll be able to enjoy a completely new character action game. This hasn't happened for a long time.
10. Edited by Bree/Canis Kanem
How fitting that my list begins and ends with Rockstar Games. The company gained widespread acclaim thanks to its shocking IP. So while the best GTA games let you be a gangster, RDR turned gamers into cowboys. However, it would be completely unfair to ignore his one of the best school drama games that started it all.input Bully, aka Canis Canem Editan open-world game where you control Jimmy Hopkins and survive Bullworth Academy and the town of Bullworth.
Bully is widely known for: sarcastic humor And the same open-world fun that Rockstar is known for. Despite its success, a remake was never seen. instead, canceled sequel We support the further development of GTA Online. I know GTA 6 is currently in development, but I can't help but feel disappointed.
I really want a remake of Bully seen through Rockstar's RAGE engine. Additionally, the original can be expanded to offer better gameplay and new side stories.
These are 10 games I would eagerly like to see remade. Most of the games on this list are wishful thinking, but some are already becoming reality. Which game would you like to see remade? Let us know in the comments below.
