The most anticipated night of the fashion year, the Met Gala, is upon us. This year's theme is “Garden of Time.” While it's sure to tempt countless celebrities to wear flowers and foliage, it's also an opportunity for attendees to think outside the box.
It got me thinking, which video game character could truly represent this theme, whether taken literally or in a more metaphorical garden sense? From literal floral bodies to flashy outfits, we've compiled a list of 10 video game characters who will steal the show at this year's Met Gala.
1. Great Fairies – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The whole point of the Met Gala is “go big or go home.” This is a night that calls for luxurious, avant-garde clothing. And no one fits this theme of spirituality and the Garden of Time better than the Great Fairy. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The four great fairies are each quite extravagant, complete with sparkling jewels and large fluff, subduing the garden element given that they literally live inside flowers.
2.Harsin – baldur's gate 3
Perhaps Astarion or Gale would be better suited to the Met Gala's ballroom energy, but it's Harsin who truly embodies the Garden of Time theme. He is an archdruid of the Emerald Grove, and Wood is passionate about all things nature (even the sight of bears). He is an elf.
Even Harsin admits that he has skimped on clothing in the past, but Met Gala fashion and flair are worth wearing a leaf tunic.

3. Mrs. Dimitrescu – Resident Evil: Village
It is no exaggeration to say that Mrs. Alcina Dimitrescu, who exudes a commanding presence in any situation, will become a center of attention at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her haute couture looks are more “picnic with blood in wine glasses” than Garden of Time, but there's no denying that her wide-brimmed hats and floral brooches are a perfect fit.
That said, her daughters probably don't deserve the same invitation – one Dimitrescu is enough for any occasion, and they just don't have the same… well, gravitas. Of course I don't mean any harm.
4. Florges – Pokemon
Just one look at that expression, know Florges will definitely play the role at the Met Gala.Florges, a fairy Pokémon that looks just like a flower, may fit perfectly into the Garden of Time theme. too much perfectly.
There are always people who take this theme incredibly literally and still leave an impression on you. Not everything has to be abstract – Florges has earned our seal of approval.
5. Agent 47 – hitman
As for the male presenters at the Met Gala, everytime There is at least one man in a standard suit. No theme, no extravagance. Just a suit and tie, no frills. And if there's anyone who truly embodies that style, it's Agent 47.
Moreover, his suit stands out and is impressive. When choosing the most basic option, it is important to be consistent with your style.
6. Toad – Super mario
In order to finish the theme quickly, make it clear. Toads are mushrooms. Mushrooms are in the garden. Perhaps the Garden of Time? That's perfect. He is the clear and obvious choice to attend this year's Met Gala.Plus, hats are an underrated aspect of the look – and toads nail that.
That said, it would also be pretty funny to see Toad trying to climb the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. No matter what he's wearing, that alone will make him worth attending.
7. Tila – soul calibur
One of the most important things for Met Gala attendees is, quite simply, to kill people. Not only is Tila on-theme in terms of her actual outfit, but can you beat her with her best outfit? With her teal hair and fringe necklace, she looks like a peacock.
And not to mention, her ring blade cuts through the crowd in seconds, probably literally. Well, on second thought, she might be a bit too sadistic to be with her fun companion…
8. Lilia – league of legends
Sure, she might be too shy to show up in person, but this fawn could definitely fit the theme. Lilia has the perfect aesthetic for this year's gala, and it will be the perfect opportunity for her to replace her Garden of Oblivion with the Garden of Time.
Plus, if you think you have a lot of options when it comes to dressing up two arms and two legs for an event, imagine four legs! However, she should obviously leave out the heels.
9. Alice – alice madness returns
Not your typical garden-themed outfit, Alice. alice madness returns This is an unconventional choice (especially considering her dress and apron are somewhat stained with blood). But Wonderland itself almost works because it feels like a twisted version of The Garden of Time, no?
Honestly, Alice's outfit is exactly what you'd expect from someone like Billie Eilish. She's edgy, a little creepy, and just the kind of energy you'd expect.
10. Tom Nook – animal crossing
It would be remiss of us to make a list like this without including everyone's favorite creature and landlord, Tom Nook. He wears a floral shirt (and the fact that he's literally a raccoon) would make him a great addition to this year's lineup, but he'll probably need to hire someone to watch Tommy and Timmy.
The Met Gala is usually reserved for the brightest, richest and most extravagant members of the world. With all his abilities, Nook definitely ranks in the upper echelons of this society.
